In order to fulfill our contractual obligation to you regarding the issuence and delivery of a license key for our software, when purchasing a copy of our application we collect a name and an email address. You have full control over the emails you receive from us and can unsubscribe at any time.
As a standard prerequisite for the functioning of our websites (cydrea.com as well as its application backend), our servers collect and log visitors' IP addresses. This is in accordance with our contractual obligation of providing you with access to our websites.

Visitors of our website may subscribe to our marketing newsletter by providing an email address. This data is collected and stored until they unsubscribe, and processed under the contractual obligation of providing our newsletter service.

b) Through our Software
To be able to use our software, you need to register and create an account. The only personally identifiable information requested to you is your email address. Any additional personal information you provide us is optional and under your free will to do so. Any personal profile information that may be shared with other software users is properly identified.
Our installable software application gives you the ability to generate and publish songs in audio and MIDI formats, and to share those creations with other users. The songs you create are generated by your own computer and are never transferred or stored in any system other than your own computer. The songs, or parts of, that you choose to share are stored on our servers on the lawful basis of meeting our contractual obligation to you.
To properly perform, the Cydrea Music software requires access to our backend service hosted on this website. We store backend usage information and patterns for the sole purpose of improving the service and detect illegal use of the software. Additionally, our application may report errors and crashes to our servers for the purpose of improving the quality of our software. No personally identifiable information is transferred from your computer to our servers.

Refund Policy
This refund policy establishes how Rui Curado, registered at Maceira, Leiria, Portugal (referred to as "we" and "us" in this document) sets the conditions for refunds of payments made for the use of our software and services.
1 - Applicable law
Your use of the Cydrea Music software and any dispute arising out of such use of the software is subject to the laws and policies of the European Union. Click here to know more about your rights as a consumer under EU law.
2- Our guarantee
Cydrea Music software is provided with a free tier and an extensive trial mode option that let's you try all its functionality, except MIDI export, without the need to puchase a license.
Therefore, we make all efforts to allow you to make a fully informed decision of purchasing a license for a software that is compatible with your computer and fulfills your needs. We are confident that the need for a refund is highly unlikely.
3 - Refunds
According to EU law, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase. After the refund is processed, your license is downgraded back to the free tier, which you can continue to use. All your benefits as a Silver, Gold or Platinum tier user are revoked.
4 - Partner services
All orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle.com provides all customer service inquiries and handles refunds.
